CLSC 134 - ADVANCED HEMATOLOGY AND HEMOSTASIS
  • PLO 1: Evaluate patient and quality control test results, recognizing normal, abnormal, and critical values, and take appropriate follow up action when necessary
    • CLO 2: Relate normal and abnormal laboratory test results to their corresponding clinical significance in the areas of Hematology and Coagulation.
    • CLO 5: Demonstrate decision-making problem-solving skills in the performance of laboratory tests in the areas of Hematology and Coagulation.
  • PLO 2: Sufficient technical skill in the use of laboratory information systems to meet the needs of the laboratory
    • CLO 4: Demonstrate satisfactory entry-level skill at the Medical Laboratory Technician / Clinical Laboratory Technician level in the performance of laboratory tests in the areas of Hematology and Coagulation.
  • PLO 4: Perform routine clinical laboratory testing in the Hematology, Immunohematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology / Serology, and Coagulation areas of the clinical laboratory
    • CLO 4: Demonstrate satisfactory entry-level skill at the Medical Laboratory Technician / Clinical Laboratory Technician level in the performance of laboratory tests in the areas of Hematology and Coagulation.
  • PLO 5: Operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation in the Hematology, Immunohematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology / Serology, and Coagulation areas of the clinical laboratory
    • CLO 3: Operate and maintain laboratory instruments used in the performance of tests in the areas of Hematology and Coagulation, with entry-level skill at the Medical Laboratory Technician / Clinical Laboratory Technician level.
  • PLO 6: Recognize the clinical significance of laboratory results in the diagnosis and treatment of disease
    • CLO 2: Relate normal and abnormal laboratory test results to their corresponding clinical significance in the areas of Hematology and Coagulation.
  • PLO 7: Participate in the appropriate aspects of a laboratory quality assurance program
    • CLO 4: Demonstrate satisfactory entry-level skill at the Medical Laboratory Technician / Clinical Laboratory Technician level in the performance of laboratory tests in the areas of Hematology and Coagulation.
  • PLO 8: Demonstrate sufficient use of oral and written communication to meet the needs of the laboratory, and patient care
    • CLO 4: Demonstrate satisfactory entry-level skill at the Medical Laboratory Technician / Clinical Laboratory Technician level in the performance of laboratory tests in the areas of Hematology and Coagulation.
  • PLO 9: Demonstrate a professional attitude in appearance, work ethic, and laboratory safety
