  • PLO 1: Demonstrate proficiency with clinical workflow responsibilities such as patient intake and documentation.
    • CLO 2: Demonstrate knowledge, comprehension and application of Windows - graphic user interface (including at least the following concepts: disk and file management, and Linking and embedding files).
    • CLO 3: Demonstrate knowledge, comprehension and application of concepts and objectives for word processing software as stated in the course syllabus (at least the following concepts and techniques: create, edit, and print a document, basic formatting and text enhancement, spell checker, table, footnote, graphics features, and preparation of commonly used documents).
    • CLO 5: Demonstrate knowledge, comprehension and application of concepts and objectives for presentation software.
  • PLO 2: Recognize the importance of practicing safely within the Medical Assistant Scope of Practice such as infection control or patient procedures.
    • CLO 1: What should students know and be able to do from studying this discipline. Demonstrate knowledge, comprehension and application of input and output devices, processing hardware (such as microprocessor, random access memory), and storage devices as stated in the course syllabus.
  • PLO 3: Comply with legal guidelines and balance ethical issues that may arise.
    • CLO 6: Transfer data from one application to another. Achieve at least 70% average on some combination of graded labs, projects, presentation, quizzes, exams, and graded assignments.
  • PLO 4: Demonstrate proficiency in office administrative functions such as scheduling appointments or understanding insurance information.
    • CLO 7: Demonstrate knowledge, comprehension and application of: navigating the Web, finding and selecting links, searching by topics and keyword, finding people and businesses, and Email as stated in the course syllabus.
