TECN 133 - MECHANICAL SYSTEMS
  • PLO 1: Demonstrate an ability to apply Math and Blue-print reading to perform mechanical systems Journeyman-level installation and maintenance.
    • CLO 1: Describe the interrelationship of safety, quality, engineering, production, maintenance, mechanical systems, supply chain, business functions and technology within a manufacturing organization.
    • CLO 4: Apply technical calculations and basic statistical process control methods to mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
    • CLO 5: Proficiently install, calibrate, and maintain mechanical systems, following standard operating procedures.
    • CLO 6: Use hand tools and precision measurement equipment to install, align, and analyze mechanical systems including belt, chain, and gear drives.
  • PLO 2: Demonstrate an ability to apply engineering technology principals to test troubleshoot mechanical systems.
    • CLO 3: Explain the functions of various tools commonly used in industry, including physical tools such as hand tools, tachometers, and measurement equipment, as well as troubleshooting tools including pareto charts, check sheets, and fishbone diagrams.
    • CLO 5: Proficiently install, calibrate, and maintain mechanical systems, following standard operating procedures.
    • CLO 6: Use hand tools and precision measurement equipment to install, align, and analyze mechanical systems including belt, chain, and gear drives.
  • PLO 3: Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in an industrial setting in writing, orally, and graphically.
    • CLO 2: Effectively convey technical information to colleagues, clients, or team members in a manufacturing environment.
    • CLO 7: Defend the critical importance of applying appropriate safety methods and procedures while working in a manufacturing environment and maintaining mechanical systems.
