TECN 131 - MANUFACTURING PROCESSES I
  • PLO 1: Demonstrate an ability to use industrial electricity technology, print reading and manufacturing processes principals to solve industrial mechanical problems.\n
    • CLO 1: Differentiate between safe and unsafe practices in machining.
    • CLO 3: Distinguish between different manufacturing processes: forging, extrusions, casting, forming, and finishing.
    • CLO 4: Describe the properties of forgings, castings, extrusions and fabricated parts.
    • CLO 5: Calculate cutting speeds and feeds based on the type of cutting operation and materials used.
    • CLO 7: Setup and operate a variety of conventional machine shop equipment: lathe, drill press, milling machine and grinders.
    • CLO 8: Demonstrate proficiency in the use of hand tools.
    • CLO 9: Accurately read precision measuring equipment.
  • PLO 2: Demonstrate an ability to function effectively as a member of a technical team.
    • CLO 2: Prepare a job planning sequence needed to manufacture a given part.
