PTHA 111 - INTRODUCTION TO PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTING
  • PLO 2: Students/Graduates will practice legally, ethically and safely within their scope of practice under the direction and supervision of the PT.
    • CLO 3: Students will describe the Plan of Care (POC) and Physical Therapist Assistant role in carrying out the POC under the direction and supervision of the PT.
    • CLO 7: Students will demonstrate knowledge of methods to facilitate safety, patient rights, privacy and confidentiality.
  • PLO 3: Students/Graduates will demonstrate professional behaviors consistent with the core value documents of the profession.
    • CLO 5: Students will be able to compare and contrast the purpose, functions and benefits of the OPTA, APTA, FSBPT, and Ohio OTPTAT Board.
  • PLO 8: The program will provide students with a quality education in contemporary physical therapy techniques, practicing in a competent and professional manner.
    • CLO 9: Students will exhibit professional Physical Therapist Assistant behaviors congruent with the expectations of society, the profession, the laws governing practice, and ethical guidelines.
    • CLO 10: Students will consider other factors impacting interventions including patient culture, religion, psychological and socio-economic factors, patient health, needs, and preferences.
