38 - Graphic Design
195
  • PLO 1: Defend choices and aesthetic judgements in own work.\n
    • CLO 1: Demonstrate the ability to create and develop a variety of visual digital content through the use of computer programming; including but not limited to creating code-based type, pixel color sketches, geometric shapes, drawing, motion studies, interaction and graphical user interfaces
    • CLO 2: Demonstrate the ability to defend aesthetic judgements, design and programming choices in own work, and the ability to analyze and criticize various similar choices in the work of others.
    • CLO 3: Understanding of how basic design and drawing principles, including color, gesture, perspective, composition and personal expression, can be interpreted through computer programming languages.
    • CLO 5: Demonstrate a basic understanding of the implementation of computer programming as a tool in a variety of art and design disciplines, especially web design; but also in information design, game design, interface design, 3d simulation, and motion graphics.
  • PLO 2: Provide thoughtful analysis of the work of others.\n
    • CLO 4: Demonstrate a basic knowledge of principles, concepts and procedures use in basic computer programming for visual outcomes, including but not limited to structures and data types (functions, loops, variables, arrays, recursions), basic mathematical concepts (increments, distance, Cartesian coordinate systems, transformations, geometric primitives), operators, color systems, input and output functions.
  • PLO 3: Create visual solutions to problems presented.
