  • PLO 1: Successfully perform dental hygiene examination, assessments, dental treatments and post treatment evaluations to provide dental hygiene services to LCCC dental hygiene patients.
    • CLO 4: Administer local anesthesia using acceptable maxillary and mandibular techniques
    • CLO 5: Administer Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Minimal Sedation using acceptable techniques
  • PLO 2: Effectively interview patients through a dialogue history with appropriate follow up questions to obtain an accurate and comprehensive medical/dental health history for total treatment planning.
    • CLO 1: Evaluate the physical, medical, and psychological profile of each patient prior to administering local anesthesia
    • CLO 3: Appreciate the potential for patient anxiety, fear, and apprehension and will recognize and manage prior to administration of local anesthesia
  • PLO 4: Synthesize information effectively to support clinical dental hygiene treatment through critical thinking, careful assessment and appropriate decision-making actions.
    • CLO 1: Evaluate the physical, medical, and psychological profile of each patient prior to administering local anesthesia
