The welding technology and AWS-3F certification preparation certificate provides students with the skills necessary to pass one of the three categories the American Welding Society AWS-3F certifications, and the knowledge and skills necessary for entry-level employment in a variety of industries that utilize welding. Lorain County Community College has articulation agreements with colleges and universities including programs offered by Lorain County Community College's University Partnership.

Indicates that the student may select to enroll in WTEC 116 or WTEC 216 or WTEC 217 to pursue one of the following AWS-3F certifications respectively: Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) or Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) or Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW).
