The Activities Director curriculum is designed to prepare the student for the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) exam. Lorain County Community College has articulation agreements with colleges and universities including programs offered by LCCC’s University Partnership.

Program Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the Activities Director program, the graduate will be able to:

  1. Create a person centered activity program that aligns with the professional standards of practice for diverse populations for older adults within various care settings. 
  2. Exhibit principles of management such as planning, organizing, staffing, and directing within various care settings.
  3. Demonstrate professional standards of conduct for the activities director as defined by NAAP, National Association of Activity Professionals.
