MUSC 263, HISTORY OF ROCK AND ROLL 3 (3)

Learn about the history of Rock and Roll, from the early beginnings in the 1920s, its development in the 1950s, through the British Invasion, 1970s progressive rock, the birth of MTV, through today. This course covers the cultural significance of rock and roll from its beginnings, evolution, and societal influences, including the impact in Northeast Ohio. Students will learn how to listen to and analyze music, along with learning to identify and define musical terminology, structure, instrumentation, lyrics, and style.
